Family room booked for three adults. Arrived to find two single beds. Booking confirmation states someone would be there to greet us. No-one was around. Fortunately we got through to somebody by phone and were able to get into the room but they were not able to provide us anywhere to stay for the three adults we had booked and paid for. The floor, bedding and toilet were clean. However, the windows were covered in cobwebs, the chairs were stained, there were not enough cups for all three of us, and there was nowhere to hand a towel or anything in the bathroom. The parking area was barely fit for purpose and there was a permanent, loud pumping sound throughout the entire building. We were expecting something poor having seen other reviews after we'd booked and we prepared ourselves, but being a bed short was not in our expectations!

There was nobody at the location. We knocked on the door and waited for 5 minutes in minus temperatures. We had to book alternative accommodation. I wrote to the owners but have heard nothinh. I wote
As far as we got as there was nobody there. Avoid this place Go somewhere else

Would make them 0 if I could! DO NOT STAY HERE They’re isn’t a reception, have to ring to get a code for your room and they just don’t answer the call so we had to book else where when we arrived. Then they won’t waiver the refund request. STAY AWAY THEY ARE SCAMMERS!

Broken Down Shack I Was Embarrassed

Couldn't see the sign from the road. I felt like I was entering a hostel. The foyer stank of cigarette smoke, the rooms were shabby. The towels looked older than me, the shower didn't work properly, there were no springs in the bed, the TV didn't work, there was only 1 cup in the room for coffee. There was no parking for my van so I had to leave it on your driveway out front. Honestly embarrassing as I was with a friend from overseas

Had to leave and find another hotel! The site is pitch black, entry is by phoning and getting a key code. The mattress had mold on it as did the shower. There was a used condom in the drawer next to the bed and the window of the ground floor room could not shut meaning the room was unsafe. I rang to ask for a different room but no reply. No staff onsite. We had to leave. A refund should be offered.

Smoke alarm battery needed changing and made a sound every 15 seconds right through the night. Noisy neighbours in next room talking until 3am. Dirty and in need of a deep clean and paint job. No staff on premise

There was a terrible smell coming from behind the fridge which despite spraying the room with lavender spray we could not shift. We were worried this might be some sort of rodent poison which we might be breathing in. Even the cups provided ( one which had a massive chip in) smelt of this awful smell. When using the shower the toilet began to smell of sewage. The bed appeared clean and white towels were provided. The outside of the property was well lit but in a poor state with weeds everywhere and limited space for manoeuvring the car if there had been other cars there.

Bed and bathroom were clean enough but the hotel was very run down and shabby and dirty. We had been moved from one hotel to another...which was worse condition and location and then moved back again.

Ok... at best

Arrived at guest house to find a note in the door. Called the number and was told to just go in, however the door handle was broken. They said they would come round. We were left standing outside in the rain for twenty mins before Someone opened the door (from inside - so they were there all along?!?). Room was dull, not the cleanest but it did the job. Won’t be booking here again though

Very convenient to Stansted airport. Property rather run down. Room was large, comfortable and warm. Staff were helpful and friendly. Shops within easy walking distance. Easy access by car.
