"We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. "The property is split between 2 buildings - a beachside building and another about 2 blocks away. That is why you see pool views and beach views in the listing. We stayed in the inland building with the pool and could not have enjoyed it more. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. The living room furniture left something to be desired, but truly, we did not use it much. The staff were excellent setting up tours for whale watching and turtle egg-laying so we couldn't have been happier with the help they provided. The breakfast service was excellent, but the venue was even better - right on the beach behind Tico's Surf School. The hotel provides folding chairs for the beach."
