We booked a room specifically advertised as having a private bathroom and a bathtub. Upon arrival, we were informed that the photos on Expedia were “incorrect” and that only one room in the entire property actually had a tub — and it was already occupied. This was not a minor detail. The bathtub was the reason we selected and paid for this room type. We were offered “free breakfast” as compensation, which was confusing since breakfast is already advertised as complimentary in the lobby. Because the room we contracted for was not available, we declined the stay and were clearly told we would be refunded. The entire check-in interaction was recorded. As of this review, no refund has been issued. Travelers should be aware that the room type advertised may not match what is actually available upon arrival. We are now disputing the charge through our credit card company due to services not rendered. We would have preferred a straightforward resolution, but unfortunately that has not happened.

Excellent place to stay on the Golden Circle in Iceland. Lovely quiet, clean accommodation. Staff were lovely also. I ate in the restaurant, pizza, and it was delicious and huge portion of a pizza. Had breakfast in the morning and that was excellent also. Great ample spaces for parking. Handy grocery store few hundred metres away. Comfortable clean bed and room. Would definitely stay again

Lugar muito encantador na beira do lago. Recomendo com certeza! A casa é muito agradável, aconchegante e bem decorada. Fica muito perto do Golden Circle, então pode fazer o passeio e dormir lá depois. Eu com certeza voltaria. Alem de tudo, a equipe é muito simpatica e gentil. Vimos aurora boreal há 5 minutos de carro do hotel. Sonho!

Die Lage ist schön am See. Das Personal war freundlich und das Frühstück preislich angemessen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad. Leider waren die Anzahl zum Duschen und der Toilette sehr gering im Vergleich zur Zimmeranzahl. Bei voller Belegung wäre dies zu wenig.

The room layout is worse than in a typical college dorm - two beds are together and not separate. Practically no closet space and drawer space. Rooms on top floor are under the roof slant that decreases room volume. But the worst thing is the scarcity of bathrooms - there is only 1 bathroom on the 3rd floor and only 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor. Completely inadequate for the number of rooms in this guesthouse. The quality of rooms and amenities is only 2 stars (or even 1 star). The only nice thing about this guesthouse was the restaurant (good food and service, very reasonably priced) and the friendliness of staff (even though the front desk closes at 9 p.m.)

While the room was clean and comfortable we couldn’t sleep. Parties and loud noises all night. We wanted to rest and ended up having a terrible night. No one cared about the noise. I asked them if it’s normally like this. Terrible place to stay.
