Older hotel. Broken dresser in our room and paint splatters everywhere. We had to switch the knob back and forth for the ac unit (it had one knob for both controls) Mattress was awful. Sheets felt like sandpaper. Good thing it was cheap.

Wi-Fi didn’t work. No usb ports for charging anything. Main desk people barely spoke English. Pool closed- breakfast mostly nonexistent. Don’t waste time staying here.

No Kleenex in the room and the room smelled, the mattress was horrible, and everything was run down. In the morning there was no staff at the office. I rang the bell multiple times. The continental breakfast (7-10am) was wiped out except for cereal with no milk. The keurig was out of water and I couldn’t find a staff member for anything. It was the worst choice I’ve ever made and I’m still apologizing to my wife for picking such a disaster.

The place is old but kept up. They have a continental breakfast. The only convenience that didn't work was the internet but the 5G in the area worked fine.

After reading some older reviews, it seems the owners are trying to improve the motel. The room we stayed in had been freshly repainted to get rid of the green and yellow and replace them with a nice blue. The room still smelled of fresh paint. Whoever did the painting took care to cut in around the edges, but left paint drips on the carpet and floors and painted over the nails, screws, and Velcro for the wall art, which was still under the bed. The floors need a thorough cleaning, and the carpet needs professional hot water or steam extraction. The wifi is still poor and pretty much useless. The bed was clean and comfortable, though the mattress is tilted so the head is lower than your feet. The smoke detectors were missing. The shower has good water pressure. The toilet whistles when flushed. The kitchenette is decent, but it seems stocked with a few thrift-store utensils. We didn't cook there, so I have no comment on the range. The motel is within walking distance of downtown, which is nice. With some TLC and a few upgrades, this motel could be a decent place to stay. It's still a little rough but has potential.

Room was stinky, refrigerator was leaking water everywhere, pool was not even clean and in use which was why we chose the place, bed was hard as a rock, and there was cigarette burns in a so called non smoking room! we left a day early and they refused to refund our second day, will not be returning and will file a complaint with hotels.com to have them black listed.

This stay has a pretty good location for a nice price. “Breakfast” its not -breakfast- at all, they only buy packed muffins and put it on a table, that’s it, don’t go counting on their breakfast. Rooms were super clean, althought their beed needs to be changed.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and the location is pretty convenient if you want to take the Blue Ridge train ride or go to Mercier Orchards. Would love to stay again if we visit this area.

If all you are looking for is a bed, fine. But TV didn't work, no internet, lights in room had a short (fire hazard) kept going off and on, air conditioning did not work to adjust temperature, it was hot, ants crawling in "cafeteria" at coffee station. I guess you get what you pay for, however, fire hazards and insects is a no for me.
