"We enjoyed our stay at Finca San Juan. It is important to understand that you are staying at a finca, so you should expect to “rough it” a little. It is not a Marriott-style hotel, but it is very quaint and offers a wonderful opportunity to unplug and unwind. There are no TVs and you cannot walk to town from the finca which encourages a true escape from everyday distractions.
The finca overlooks the lake and offers magnificent views of the surrounding volcanoes. What we loved most were the sounds of nature, especially the howler monkeys. If you explore the property, you may even spot them in the trees, which was a real highlight of our stay.
Breakfast is included and there was a wide menu with many options to choose from, which we appreciated each morning.
The only issue we experienced was an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom in our cabin. We were unable to determine the exact cause, though it may have been related to a plumbing issue.
Other than that, we very much enjoyed our short stay and appreciated the unique, natural setting of Finca San Juan."
