"I loved this unique hotel, it was a tick off the bucket to stay in the rainforest! The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent and great value for money. It is very easy to get to the animal centres and I was still able to access the internet so could order grab taxis. I’d definitely recommend bringing bug spray! 100% would recommend, where else can you stay in the rainforest?!"

"The hotel is in a great location, right on the waterfront and there is no shortage of eating places nearby. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The extractor fan from the hotel kitchen made the rooms at the front somewhat noisy in the morning and evening. Breakfast was very good."

"For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. The room was adequate but the pillows were horrendous! Just lumpy lumps of hard sponge! The shower and sink use a pump system which was not smooth at all and you either had a ‘power’ shower or a trickle. "This place hasn’t been touched since the mid 1980s - thick dust and cobwebs everywhere, and the entire property smells like it hasn’t seen fresh air for decades, including the room.
