"Well maintained rooms in this historic hotel. Located in downtown Northampton in the middle of all the restaurants, music venues and boutique stores. Friendly staff and two restaurants and a bar on site. Henry"
Hotel UMass

"Because this property is part of the UMass Campus and College of Hospitality, it is well maintained, but is situated in the middle of the UMass campus and has little signage. The Hotel sits atop a student center, and its all-concrete exterior makes it blend in with the other University academic buildings. It was difficult for my wife and I to find when we arrived after nightfall. We were assigned Room 607, which was especially cold due to the summer air conditioner being on and non-responsive to thermostat changes. The front desk staff was quick to provide a stand-alone space heater, which quickly made the room comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient, with Yogurt, Bread, GF Bread, Bagels, GF Bagels, Fruit, Pastries, and a Waffle station. 24-hour drink offerings at lobby were exceptional; with a single-serve coffee bar/machine, wonderful Tea varieties, Sparkling & Still Water, and a selection of fruit juices."

"I loved my room, very spacious, clean and everything needed including refrigerator, microwave and bathroom utilities. I would stay again if in the area. Breakfast was good and the ladies were very nice. Also front desk lady. Excellent stay."

"They have definitely been updates since I was there two years ago. They have repainted the building all the way around. You now need your room pass card to get into the conference room where they serve your continental breakfast. Post looks good. Workout room looks good. They keep a good job on housekeeping, but you do have to ask to be serviced because they don’t do it every day. Other than that, it’s an excellent location your food near Kohl’s if you need something more personal all kinds of things so I will give it a thumbs up."

"I really enjoyed the hotel. It was amazing at the price it cannot be beat. I ended up staying a night cause it was closest to Six Flags New England. Very clean. The windows just need a little dusting. But overall an amazing experience. Definitely recommend it 😃"

"The hotel was very clean. Staff was pleasant and the actual rooms were in good condition. Bathroom looked newly renovated and the window dressing were really unique and pretty. Better than drabby old curtains. Would stay there again"

"Front desk could have been friendlier, but the rest of the staff were very friendly. The pool had been closed one day and I when I asked the front desk if they had any additional information (like how long it would be closed), she was a little curt and uninformative. The breakfast staff were phenomenal. A few lights were out in our room and the toilet didn't fill once. But the place had a lot of character. The fitness room could have been opened a little earlier. It didn't open until 8AM."
