"I have never left a review for a place that I have stayed. Ever. But our stay at Ostello del Castello in Tirano was so fantastic that a positive review was necessary. The owner, Andrea, ensured our stay was perfect. His family property is a seven centuries old modern renovation. Our room was clean, comfortable and secure. Breakfast was delicious: meat and cheese plates, pasties, yogurt, granola, breads, fruits, coffees and juices. The location is an 8 minute walk from the train station. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. This location is perfect as a home base: within an hour you could be at Lake Como or multiple ski areas. You can ride the UNESCO listed Bernina Express to Switzerland right in Tirano. I can't say enough good things about Andrea and Ostello del Castello. Stay here. You won't be disappointed!"

"Outstanding view of the lake in the mountains. Probably 1000 feet up with the lake below. 2 hot tubes and a pool that makes it look like you're going to the list right off the edge. The staff wanted to please any way they could."
