Gopalan has a lovely location with views out over rice fields. The rooms are clean and well-appointed, but there were small gaps between walls and door frames/ windows whicj some might find disconcerting - rustic charm is more accurate. There's a bit of a water shortage in the area at the moment, though I dont think the locals want to mention it but we had to contact reception twice to let them know we had no water. It was sorted quickly, but perhaps be aware and moderate your water use. The staff were friendly, the food was good - breakfast was fine and we had dinner there a couple of times; good food and reasonably priced . They were very good at arranging some trips and at similar or cheaper to ones advertised locally.

Good service but quality of the property is poor. Room layouts are simply disgusting while the costs are pretty high. First time I experienced things like unplastered walls, no sink in bathroom, sink in bedroom, cats running over the tiled roof all night. Stay away I'd say.

Zen à Borobudur !
Très bel endroit proche du temple de Borobudur ; on aperçoit son sommet de la terrasse ! Le personnel est disponible, sympathique et souriant à toute heure !!! Les plats indonésiens servis au restaurant sont excellents.

Awesome location, close to the temple and lovely staff. Just be wary of using the airport collection or delivery as the normal journey time is one and a half hours from the airport to the hotel but we had the misfortune of being take for a joyride of two and a half hour by our driver as he decided he needed to attend to a personal task and after having to pay IDR 350 000 for the service we had no say, nor were we asked if he could do a massive detour! We were not impressed.
