"I reserved and paid for my room online. When I arrived the front desk clerk was rude to me because I forgot the pin # for my credit card which they want to cover in-hotel purchases. She said she would let it go, as though doing me a great favour, but that nothing should "happen." I took this to mean she was implying that I might attempt to steal from the hotel and was displeased. Everything the hotel has to offer in terms of food is overpriced and mostly inedible by anyone like me who has food sensitivities. My room was clean, spacious and comfortable and it is clear that the room attendants work hard. The pool was refreshing. When it comes to walking, the neighbourhood is challenging; it took me quite a long time to navigate to the nearest grocery store. I asked for a wake up call but did not receive one. In the morning the airport shuttle was on time and efficient. In future I will likely stay at a different airport adjacent hotel because this is not the first time I have had a less than welcoming and relaxing visit at Aloft. "
