"The staff was wonderful, but the property itself gives Holiday Inn Express—the towels were old and fraying (in the room and by the pool), the bathroom had mildew along all the caulking and the air conditioner rattled like a 1997 Dodge Neon. "We stayed one evening while we were down in Sarasota for a Spring Training game. Due to the beach and ballgame season, prices at all hotels were up. "Room didn’t look anything like pictured. Air conditioner was broken laying on floor. Moved it and cockroaches ran from under. Bed wasn’t made. Room was supposed to be non smoking. Reeked of smoke. Front desk staff was no help. Had to leave and find other hotel accommodations. Absolutely disgusting. Lots of loitering all around hotel. Very uncomfortable and unsafe feel. "
