"Communication needs to be improved both prior and during the stay. The property is difficult to find using Google Maps. We rang the stated number but it took some time for someone to reply/answer. The keys to the room are inside your unlocked room meaning anyone could walk into your room and take the keys as the front door is always unlocked. No instructions are given how to lock or unlock the door, you have to WhatsApp the owner to find out. Photos after booking confirmation are misleading...

"This is an incredibly gorgeous palace, complete with a gate door and unique keys for old bolt locks. The main courtyard is beautiful and opens to the sky, the decor is incredible, and my room included floor to ceiling window-doors that opened up to a private patio. AC worked great, especially during a heat wave! The ceilings that are made of original wood... Gorgeous! They offer such a unique and amazing experience that you just cannot get anywhere else. "They wish to contact 72hours before coming, but they did response. No services at all. Room was ok and balcony was great. During the night there was others coming and going making noise. (Mainly doors and locks were noisy)"

"Staff were amazing. Our toilet was always smelly and didn’t work for a small period of time. The only con was you would have to pay to have your linens changed or room cleaned."

"OHHH this was a little slice of heaven! it’s difficult to articulate just how welcome i felt both upon arrival (which was late and last minute) and throughout my stay. the staff, notably Lorenzo and his sister, a family of such taste and class and some of the warmest, affable people i’ve met in a long time. the beauty of the property is another level. i only wish i had stayed longer!"

"We loved the hotel. Great location for the citta Alta which was less than 5 mins walk. The funicular to the castle was next door and we could watch it from the hotel room. Very clean and good sized room with a fantastic shower. Staff were very helpful and arranged a breakfast to be bagged for us on the day we left as our flight was very early. It’s was a very nice touch and made the early flight a little easier. Thanks so much."
