"When I arrived at a very busy time, my room was not ready. Front Desk staff found me another room, however the room had two beds and I only wanted one. Elena from Guest Services called me to explain a computer glitch in the number of beds in the room, and then brought me a new key and helped me to move my luggage to an upgraded room. I settled in for the evening, but an electrical adapter for US appliances blew the fuses for the entire room! It was Elena, again, who calmly assured me that an electrician would soon arrive to turn the electrical back on and provide me with a stronger electrical adapter. I think the Front Desk staff person who recognized my displeasure and Elena who solved several problems for me are great examples of what aware customer service can do to turn a guest’s experience around."

"From arrival to departure the hotel staff were excellent - informative, helpful, cheerful with a can do attitude. The public areas of the hotel were consistently clean and very well maintained. Our room was lovely - well equipped with everything we needed for our two night stay. Toiletries, towels and bed linen were first class. The air conditioning and window blinds made for a very comfortable nights sleep. The hotel location, overlooking the Tower of London and adjacent to a great transport hub allowed for easy exploration of the city. Will certainly return."

"Great location right on Westminster Bridge, with easy access to many of London’s main attractions. We stayed for four nights across two rooms, and overall the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. It’s a very large hotel, but it felt well managed, with good facilities and a pleasant overall atmosphere. The staff were especially helpful and friendly throughout our stay. My only minor disappointment was that our Expedia Gold status wasn’t formally recognized, so I came away feeling that booking directly with the hotel may offer better benefits in the long run. That said, the staff were great regardless, and overall we had a very positive"

"First of all, the location. If you are visiting during summer festival season, this is absolutely perfect. Hotels along the golden mile would be SO NOISY at night. This is only a few minutes' walk from everything you want to see in the city and Grassmarket is busy and fun during the day but quiets right down at 10:30pm. Second, the staff. We had such nice staff members assist us while we were in Edinburgh. A huge hats off to Alex in the dining room who made every morning fantastic! Finally, the breakfast. Come hungry! I didn't know Haggis was a breakfast food but now I'll be making that at home, There's a buffet and a menu to order from - make sure you sign up for the included breakfast because that cost will save you a fortune by allowing you to skip sit-down restaurants and just get a snacky lunch."
