The room itself matched the description on the website — it was clean, adequately furnished, and appeared as shown in the photos. However, everything else was deeply concerning.
The area surrounding the hotel felt extremely unsafe from the very first moment. As soon as we arrived, several men standing near the entrance and along the street started watching us closely while we got out of the taxi and entered the building. It was an uncomfortable situation that immediately made us feel uneasy.
During the short time we were there, we witnessed drug dealing taking place in broad daylight, and the overall environment felt threatening and insecure. For safety reasons, we decided to leave the property shortly after checking in.
After we left, I contacted the hotel to explain the situation and to request a refund for the unused nights. The response I received was shocking — the hotel offered to refund a small portion of the total amount, and only under the condition that I do not post a review about my experience.
This kind of condition is completely unacceptable and unethical, not to mention unlawful. Guests should never be pressured or financially influenced to remain silent. Reviews exist to help other travelers make safe and informed choices, and attempting to suppress honest feedback is not only morally wrong but also against consumer protection laws.
Despite the room being fine, the hotel‘s reaction makes it the absolute worst I‘ve ever witnessed
