If I could rate negative 100, I would. When this place says they are unmanned after 7pm, that means not only the front desk is unmanned, but also guest emergency phone calls that require immediate attention are unattended. I picked up my key at 10:30pm, then dropped my luggage, including the room key, inside the room, realized I left something in my car, came back, and realized the door was automatically locked even though access was using a traditional key.
I tried to call the hotel phone number; it automatically went to voicemail, and I left one, hoping someone would notice. I called Expedia, and they could not reach anyone from the hotel. After 1 hour of effort trying to have someone from the hotel unlock my door, it became a reality that I had to sleep in my car in 20-degree weather, in the remote middle of nowhere.
The staff appeared at 7:30am and didn't acknowledge my situation until then. Since I booked this place through Expedia, they tried to reach out to the hotel for 24 hours to ask for a refund. Nobody from the hotel answered the phone calls from Expedia.
