A good location for us with plenty of parking. Room was clean, but ours had a very tired bed mattress which really needed replacing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful during our stay and food and drinks were all reasonably priced.

Very basic rooms it was stifling but could open the window a bit and they did provide a fan breakfast was not great the cooked was microwaved , it was like the room basic ok for a one night stopover also very noisy throughout the night with traffic

Great location just off the main road, staff helpful, nice room, good parking, handy for steam railway & Buckfast Abbey, we enjoyed the evening menu (did not have breakfast)

While there is nothing wrong with this hotel if you just want to sleep there, if you want food or drink find somewhere else. On Friday night they closed the bar at least half an hour early so we couldn’t get a drink, on Sunday they were short staffed so stopped serving food at 7pm so we had to eat crisps and nuts! The hotel is a long way from anywhere to nip and get food and drink, so please make sure you are suitably refreshed before coming back.

Meals good,staff friendly. In our room heated towel rail was on and it was so hot, it made room hot, no ac had little fan going. Would have been cosy warm if we came in winter.

The access to the rooms was not good The stairs were dangerous. The superior room was just acceptable But the Cooked Breakfast was deplorable badly cooked and the worst I have ever seen. 4

Parking was brilliant as the overflow was close to our room. Bed was super comfy and good shower. Staff friendly and breakfast really yummy.

Food was great, staff very helpful, bar and dining room very tidy and clean, good range of drinks, both alcoholic and soft although I am out of touch with prices so had a bit of a shock. This is not a negative, just reality. Plenty of parking and convenient at the rear to avoid stairs. Some areas are in need of decorating such as stairwell and corridors however not terrible. Outside areas need tidying around the back of the building but the beer garden/smoking area was good. Wheel chair accessible ramp at the front into.yhe bar area, but stairs only from this level to the rooms, which would mean a trip outside to the overflow carpark and enter the accommodation there. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would return again.

The place is OK as a base which we used it for whilst we were in the area. The food was nice with the added beneit of a Gluten free menu and they do have separate prep areas for food. Rooms nice, although a little dated and some need a little attention in places. Reasonably priced for both food and drink, service can be a little slow at times. Bar area gets busy we tended to sit in the restaurant area as it was more quieter. Breakfasts tasty, good selection of food and hot food if you want it too. Outside is a little tired and garden could do with a bit of attention - overal was an OK stay.

Wir hatten einen kurzen, aber sehr schönen Aufenthalt, als Zwischenstopp für eine Nacht auf unserer Reise. Das Zimmer war klein, aber wirklich fein, mit gemütlichem Bett und sehr ruhig nach hinten raus. Das Frühstück war einfach, aber gut. Die Nähe zur Dartmoor Otters and Butteflies ist unschlagbar.

Nice place to stay

The food was lovely and the bar and restaurant were nice. Breakfasts were really nice and all staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was the road noise at night.

Check in was good. Shown to stairs to get to the room. Breakfast layout was explained and asked if we'd book a table for dinner. Room was at front of property facing busy road(noisy). Room ok for a 1 night stay. Food was ok but a bit rushed for some reason as not busy. Breakfast quantity very good. Overall a pleasant stay. Think the property could do with a spruce up.
