"Air conditioning was lovely and the staff were all warm and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. Room was a bit noisy as we were right next to the road but overall an excellent central location"

"Fantastic location and surroundings Was disappointed with our room for tha fact we upgraded with a pet with us To find out we didn’t get our upgrade because pets were not allowed in that side of the hotel So Single beds which I was very disappointed with But the front desk could give us a free breakfast But to be honest, would rather a double bed I ordered But all in all staff are fantastic Easy parking Clean room Beautiful place to visit"

Malmaison Cheltenham

Malmaison Cheltenham

10/10 Excellent
"Obviously it’s a great hotel but the staff went above and beyond. From the night receptionist when we pulled in on Friday night after a nightmare 7 hour drive, to the manager (I believe…) who rewarded our toddler’s politeness with a bubble blower toy, we couldn’t have had a more wonderful stay. We will absolutely be back, and soon!"

DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham-Cotswolds

DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham-Cotswolds

10/10 Excellent
"A well located hotel in a very pleasant setting with extensive gardens at the rear with woods and golf course beyond. The public rooms were attractive and the staff were excellent, especially in the bar and restaurant. Plenty of parking spaces onsite. Breakfast was as good as expected held in a large attractive room overlooking the rear. The bedroom was in a more 'modern' wing to the side, facing the green space to the rear. Fine, but the decor requires updating. There was some noise from the floor above. but then one cannot account for other guests!"

What are the most important historical places and other sights to visit in Buckland?

What is a historic hotel like in Buckland?
When you choose a historic hotel, you'll spend a night or two in a building that has an officially recognised national historic designation. A stately home, palace or even a lodge, old police station or skyscraper can be turned into a historic hotel as long as it's a place of special interest. Traditional architecture and period features are typically found in the guestrooms or communal spaces of such hotels in Buckland, giving a real sense of character.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
They are quite similar. "Historic hotel" is more commonly used in the U.S., while you'll often hear "heritage hotel" in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to emphasise the architecture and actual building. Heritage hotels draw their meaning mainly from the place's cultural value and how it inspired the community.
Do historic hotels in Buckland have modern facilities?
Yes. Every effort is made to preserve historic facades and treasured traditions, while interiors have safety features and modern conveniences. Guests can expect the usual amenities from a contemporary hotel such as Smart TVs, WiFi and updated bathroom facilities. In Buckland, booking a historic hotel doesn't mean you're picking a place that's rundown.
