Photo of property in Expedia was very misleading, in terms of location, surroundings and how everything seemed new or polished within the room. Not enough cups, plates and no screens for windows to stop bugs. Again, very misleading. Properties must be shown as they are."

"Unfortunately room.was not cleaned properly on arrival. I was too tired though to say anything. The staff were good though. Just a request to ensure a room is clean before a new guest. Was told area was not so safe to walk alone at night, which is sad as I love Cairns. Thank you."

"The room was unclean, the air con barely worked and was noisy, and the noise from other rooms and doors slamming was ridiculous. I made a specific request that I needed a quiet room for sleep as I had an early start (up at 4am), this request clearly was not met. We left before 10pm and found somewhere else to stay."

"Hotel and staff were nice. Location was about 30 mins walking from the pier and 8 min drive from airport. This meant it was a relatively quiet area (sometimes planes overhead).
Pluses: a shuttle runs to the center 4 times a day, (unheated) pool on site, and free parking lot off street
Negatives: only one outlet in the entire room (under a table). Mattress was a little lumpy and bathrooms a little dated - but not terrible."

"We arrived early but were able to check-in which was wonderful.
Very helpful receptionist.
The room was clean and tidy and equipped with basic cooking facilities which we didn't expect.
Aspect Central is on a very busy road but the room we were in was relatively quiet during the night. I'm a light sleeper but I slept well."

"Stayed in the superior, balcony (mountain view room). Hotel is good for location, convenient to shops and mall — the stay was ok. Bed is average, cleaning could have been better in bathroom, toilet seat in our room needs some maintenance. However decent space, great tv, enjoyed balcony chairs and didn’t mind the view of mountains."

Negatives: There was black mold everywhere in the shower grout and in the ceiling of the showers.
It is a basic accommodation and you pay as such so do not expect frills.
I would not reccomend for singles particularly solo women.
