Old North End

A melting pot of cultures, Burlington's Old North End offers travellers an authentic slice of local life away from touristy spots. Vietnamese pho shops, Bosnian bakeries, and Somali restaurants serve up affordable, authentic meals. Colourful murals celebrate the area's diverse heritage along tree-lined streets. Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Downtown

Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Downtown

8/10 Good
"The room was clean and the bed and bedding were very comfortable. Unfortunately, although the air conditioning worked, it was very loud. We had maintenance look at it but it really didn’t get better. Bathroom door squeaked terribly and I mentioned it at checkout. Also asked for a later checkout but it was not granted. Dean and Sarah were great! Food at the restaurant was delicious. Great location to walk to nearby sights!"

"I enjoy staying at this hotel. Great amenities, great restaurant on the premise and near by. Very close to the airport. The only thing is a lot of cars park at the entrance, when you park in the back before you check in, the walk can be challenging especially if you are care luggage"

The included breakfast was fresh and generous. A daily happy hour is included though we were too busy to be there for it. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. AC Hotel Burlington

AC Hotel Burlington

8/10 Good
"In general, the rooms were decently appointed and have what you would expect from Marriott, minus a microwave (there’s clearly a space where one was intended to go). The staff were friendly and helpful. For a Marriott-run hotel though, it just felt as though something were missing. Can’t quite put my finger on it. In general, and especially for any UVM parents, the hotels in downtown Burlington are six of one half a dozen of the other. We’ve stayed at the Hotel Champlain, Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard Marriott, and Hotel Vermont, and there is little to separate them from each other, except for loyalty programs and cost. Personally, I find mandatory valet annoying, especially when you may be in and out several times a day. Fortunately there are several public lots with park mobile available, essentially giving you and-and-out parking when you want it. So maybe the rooms will be a bit bigger at Hotel Vermont, and maybe your best bet for a bit of a water view is at Hotel Champlain, and you can nuke frozen burritos in your room at the Hilton, does any of it really matter? Probably not. These are all largely fungible experiences, all within easy walking distance of Church St and downtown. If you want a different experience go to Blind Tiger."
