Good place to stay the night before our return trip on the ferry early the next day. With easy access to the old town the tram stops outside the venue. Staff were really helpful and helped us to get in to town and use the tram. The restaurant has a great atmosphere as does the roof top bar.

The roof bar was closed so shouldn’t have been advertised as open when booking. Room wasn’t adequately prepared for heat. Fan was very weak and plug socket where we wanted fan didn’t work. This is definitely more of a hostel than a hotel. It is very very basic. Perfectly clean though and helpful staff but I wouldn’t stay again

Great location in Caen with friendly staff

Location was great for exploring Caen. The staff is young, energetic and friendly. Very positive hostel experience. Young people and family friendly place. Nice to have options for breakfast, dinner or just a cocktail/ wine at The People. I will for sure check out other locations of The People and my kids will too.

Calm stay in a very clean hostel

Two nights in women-dormitory. Although 5 beds occupied of 8 it was a quiet and relaxed stay. Everything very new and clean, shower in the 4th floor with a lack of water-pressure. Breakfast with various food like fruits, different cheese, egg and ham etc. but no dark bread.

Nice place, but noisy

Our room was above the smoking area. We needed to open the window because it was hot inside, but there was lots of noise and cigarette smoke coming in the window, half the night. Very hard to sleep. Also the parking is difficult and not free. The kitchen is nice, with plenty of refrigerator space. The room is nice and clean.

good, but a few work ons to make it great

Really nice new hotel in a good location. Very close to the canal if you are looking for a place for a run. There are 2 things they need to address to make it a great place to stay: 1. There are not enough staff on the front desk or in the bar/restaurant. The night that we stayed the service in both places was slower than I would have liked. This was not the fault of the truly excellent staff on duty. They couldn't have been nicer or worked any harder - there just wasn't enough of them to meet the demand. 2. The arrangement with the adjacent parking garage is really messy. To avail of the overnight parking rate you have to create an account with a 3rd party provider and pay through your phone. This took quite a lot of effort, and even required you to provide your home address! finally, their numberplate recognition system couldn't recognise non-French plates so calls to customer service were required on entry and exit. Surely something more simple can be organised for guests.

Nickel, le logement est très propre, le petit déjeuner est très bien pour le prix demandé. Un grand merci aux demoiselle qui vous accueil, nous sommes arrivés en soirée avec une Jeep équipée d'un coffre de toit , impossible de rentrer dans le parking, (la hauteur été trop importante)comme nous avions également 4 vélos sur un porte vélos nous voulions un endroit sécurisé. Une des demoiselle nous à placé sur le parking du personnels. Rien que pour cette attention, à notre prochaine visite dans cette région nous nous ferons un plaisir de revenir dans cette hôtel.

À part la chambre pas beaucoup est offert. Il faut apporter son cadenas et sa serviette. Pas de salle commune puisqu'elle est réservée pour des groupes scolaires même lorsqu'il n'y a plus de groupe scolaire. Il y a une cuisine où il faut s'organiser avec les moyens du bord, pas beaucoup d'assiettes pour un repas il n'y en avait pas. À part le micro-ondes il faut pouvoir s'organiser.
