"The hotel grounds are very beautiful. The walkways and bridges and trails are all very charming. The staff was very attentive. Dinner was good and the massages were wonderful. I would highly recommend. The only complaint is there is not air conditioning and it was quite hot"

"Wow! Is all that really can be said. The natural beauty of this hotel are what other places spend thousands of dollars trying to recreate. Located on the river banks with nothing else in sight, thoughtfully manicured grounds giving way to the Belizean jungle. You truly can feel away from it all. "We enjoyed our stay at Mariposa, the tone was set the moment we arrived. We checked in late and I went to go run in to give our information, our server Robby insured that he needed to greet us properly and asked all our guests to come in for a welcome drink which we thoroughly enjoyed, the kitchen was also waiting on to offer us dinner before they went home for the evening. "Everything was state of the art. We travel to Belize all the time and the amenities here were above and beyond what we are used to. The sunrise view is amazing. There is a Chinese market around the corner where we were able to purchase everything we wanted for breakfast and plenty of restaurants nearby. The ATM cave is about 45 minutes away, 10 minutes from Guanacaste, and not too far from cave’s branch. I definitely recommend Ansen’s Place when staying in Belmopan."

The creek below is great for a dip, and the inland blue whole is an easy 15min stroll down the road (costs 4usd per person to enter) for more swimming. "It was great. The waterfalls on site are stunning. The views from the restaurant are amazing and the staff was great. They were always friendly and attentive. The only complaint is that it needs some sort of AC for during the day. Fans weren't enough to keep the room cool in the hot season. Other times of the year I'm sure it's perfect. I'd still highly recommend it."
"Caves Branch is a beautiful place to stay, in the jungle surrounded by flowers, trees, and native birds. We (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed in one of the Jungle Suites, separated from other suites by trees; very private. It was wonderful to wake up in the morning and hear the birds singing, or listen to the distant sound of howler monkeys at night. There is a small botanical garden on-site, free kayaks that you can borrow to paddle on the river, and just walking the paths is lovely.
