"The whole place was amazing! The cabins were bare bones but clean and cute. We had a porch in the back right by the rainforest, but wished there had been comfy chairs to sit on instead of a small, hard bench. The bathrooms were clean with some interesting insect life to observe while sitting there. Showers were hot and good pressure. The Toucan Cafe up front was superb - we ate every meal there. There is comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. Fridge and coffee maker are available for guests....

"Wifi was spotty. Husband was having a tough time working. Movies kept pausing and buffering, so that made it difficult to see anything all the way through! Food was excellent! Staff was friendly and accommodating to the best of their ability. My last stay was 10 years ago, Aug 2016! We noticed lots of upgrades to the property. We'll be back, and will choose our 1st room #3 next time!!"

"When we arrived we were met by Leo who was our contact for the entire stay. He was our bartender, waiter, and tour guide. Leo made our vacation memorable, he went above and beyond. "This is such a beautiful property that really immerses you in the nature of San Ignacio. Rose cooked fresh breakfast everyday that was absolutely delicious, and her and her husband were super kind. There were a ton of ants and gecko’s in our room which is to be expected building anything in a warm climate. The only complaint, which was not the fault of the resort was the power went out and our room became absolutely stifling. "The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was great. The property's jungle setting and landscaping made me feel like I was in a jungle. And while not a nightly occurrence, having howler monkeys howling the first evening really set the tone to remind me I wasn't in California. A special callout to the staff at Fiona's restaurant, the food was great, but talking with the staff there was super fun. I would recommend Maya Mountain Lodge to anyone and everyone."
