"This place was perfect for my family (adult children). Lots of wild life on the resort. The beautiful breakfast buffet was delicious. Staff at the desk was friendly and helpful. Rustic Jungle vibes in gorgeous setting. Many nights ended with a swim at the pool. Excellent base camp for Manzanillo, Cahuita, Uva, and of course Puerto Viejo. It is true about water pressure or lack there of, and some of the finishes in buildings and bungalows show their age, it manages still to keep it's charm. We will be back."
"Excelente hotel, desde la belleza al estar ubicado dentro de la naturaleza, las habitaciones acogedoras, pero lo que lo hace especial es el servicio impecable y detallista de todo su Staff. Lo recomiendo si desean pasar unas vacaciones inolvidables. El restaurante con deliciosa comida y bebidas. "
"My stay at Namu Garden & Spa in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica was absolutely exceptional. The hotel is perfectly located in Puerto Viejo, surrounded by lush tropical nature and just minutes from the vibrant town and the beautiful Caribbean beaches. It offers the perfect mix of tranquility and convenience, making it an ideal place to relax while still being close to everything that makes Puerto Viejo such a special destination.
From the very beginning, the hospitality stood out. A special thank you to the reception team, Alexis and Engel, who were always welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. Alexis in particular greeted guests with warmth and positive energy every day, and both he and Engel were always ready to assist with anything needed, making the entire stay smooth and enjoyable.
The restaurant service was another highlight of the experience. Miguel, Anastasia, Daniel, and Jaymark provided outstanding service throughout my stay. They were attentive, friendly, and consistently went above and beyond to make every meal enjoyable. Their great attitudes and attention to detail made dining at the restaurant something I looked forward to every day.
A big part of what makes this hotel so special is the leadership of Douglas, the manager. His dedication to guest satisfaction is evident in every aspect of the property, and it’s clear he has built a fantastic team that truly cares about the experience they provide. Thank you to everyone at Namu for making this experience great!"
"This is a very peaceful hotel with a nice pool and beautiful landscaping. The town and main road can be overwhelmingly loud and busy at times, so it was great to have a little oasis of calm just outside the main centre. The room was comfortable and well appointed and all three breakfast options were tasty. "
"Clean room and property. Free breakfast. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom did not have a door but a privacy screen was available to separate the bathroom from the bedroom. Showers took a while to warm up but never got hot, more like luke warm. But wasn’t too bad since the weather was hot and humid. "
"Tucked away, yet still close to everything. The atmosphere and grounds are wonderfully kept and beyond relaxing. The staff was overly friendly, helpful and made our experience exceptional. We had the most delightful stay!"
"We had the most amazing stay at the saranda. The staff were amazing, the room was great and comfy. Loved the private bathroom! The place was beautiful. "
