"The Stavrand is a beautiful property nestled in the redwoods just a few minutes walk from downtown Guerneville. The front desk and dining room staff were friendly and helpful. We brought kayaks, for which we were shown a safe place for storage. My disappointments were: (1) the swimming pool was quite cold, and the jacuzzi was not very hot and had no operative jets, (2) housekeeping did not come clean our room during our 2-night stay, and (3) the room, though lovely, had no real separation of bed...

"Rooms were very tiny. A larger person wouldn’t be able to fit into the bathroom. We wanted to watch a college football game on ABC. Realizing we were in a remote area, I felt comfortable thinking this channel would be available in our room. WRONG! Asked if we could watch it in the restaurant. Several people tried to make that happen and it couldn’t be done. We were walked to our room and someone tried to get it in there. We were just going to leave for a local pizza place when they came...

"The property, location, and staff were amazing!!! However, the room itself was a little underwhelming due to hearing the upstairs guests all night, the bedroom window opening up to the trash bins, and the shower being extremely cold. Additionally someone woke me up at 3 am drumming on the trash bins, it made me feel unsafe."
