The outside of the hotel was very appealing and the location was perfect for our stay. I appreciated the clean room and the staff were really nice and helpful. Just wished there was indoor jacuzzi/pool since the day we stayed the weather was cold, gloomy and raining very slightly (misty).

I was dismayed upon entering my room to find that there was no security bar on the door. Security is my first concern, even more than a comfortable bed. The hotel was otherwise fine. I liked having a fireplace in the room, although it took a bit of searching to find out how to turn it on!

Thank you for your review.All of our rooms have deadbolts to secure the doors. We are sorry that you didn’t feel comfortable with that. The fireplaces all run off of a thermostat on the wall labeled “fireplace”. The team is also happy to assist via phone or stop by the room to show a guest.

We checked in late in the day. Bernice called me around 8 PM to let me know that she would leave at 10 PM and gave me instruction on how to get our keys if we arrived after she had already left. When we arrived, Bernice just got into her car. Even though her shift was over and she was already leaving, she got out of her car and helped us check in and made sure we were well situated before she left for the evening. Great customer service!! Thanks again!

The room was beautiful with a view of a peaceful natural setting. Open the window and hear the waves crashing on the beach. Walkable to one of the best coffee houses in Cambria. I recommend that if you have a chance, stay at this hotel.

Don't be fooled by the name. It's not a spa. They have a hot tub and steam room which they closed due to construction. Don't think you can book a massage! And it's not on Moonstone Beach. You have to walk on the trail to get to the beach. No view. Backs to a forest. Entire 2nd floor was under construction. Said they had 'grab n go' breakfast. It was all gone before 8:30am. Another guest said the construction workers had eaten all of it. Very disappointed. Hotels along the water were priced abt the same or even less. Lesson learned.

Thank you for your feedback. Our renovation is nearing its completion and will be done within a week. We apologize for teh inconvinence, but we strive to improve our offerings and we are proud to now offer new rooms. We have 2 spa technicians, they do book in advanced as we are one of the only spas in town. We are sorry that you were unable to enjoy those services.

The hotel is being renovated though the room we stayed in had already been updated and still felt lackluster, cold and dated. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly and the lighting throughout the room was dim. The acoustics in the hotel are poor, you can hear everything. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I wanted so badly for this to be a lovely romantic stay, but sadly, the hotel was a strange mix of bad new updates and stangely situated furniture. The front desk staff was kind enough, but several times, we walked up mid day with a question and no one was to be found. Overflowing trash cans, non-operational jacuzzi and construction happening downstairs from 8 am. I wish they would have let us know ahead of time and we would have booked a lovely little place on the ocean in Moonstone Beach.

The hotel was amazing except for the fact that it was under construction. It wasn’t listed on Expedia nor was it listed on the hotels website. I was notified once I checked in that there was construction and it was a Friday. I figured no construction would be happening over the weekend, I didn’t hear very much of it on Saturday but Sunday morning at 9 AM,I was woken up to very loud, banging and drilling. I believe in the room below me when I mentioned it to the front desk at checkout, they said, were you told at check-in and I said yes and they said oh we’re so sorry that it was disruptive, but we are under construction.

This is an expensive hotel given other hotels in the area. Note that the hotel is on the corner of highway 1 and there is limited view from the windows. The room itself is nice for sure, but at the price point, the location should be better or the room views.

We loved our stay! When we booked we were not notified that there were renovations going on. It didn’t matter as we did not encounter any problems or noise. No ocean view but the rooms were larger than expected, bathrooms were very large.

Very nice stay
Beautiful hotel, beautiful area. Hotel was very clean and kept up. Our view was of nature and a trail to the beach, which was stunning. A little cute town walking distance from our hotel! Can’t wait to be back.

Room 110: The staff were good, however the hotel needs help. Our bathroom sink fell into the cabinet while we were washing our hands, water all over. The seal broke I guess. They attempted a fix. Then no hot water at all in the shower, but warm water in the sink. Very odd. Minor things; the USB by the bed did not work. There was no body wash in the dispenser. We won’t stay there again, which is too bad because I really has potential.
