Farmstay in Cantón Guácimo

"We had a wonderful stay at Miss Junies. It was well located near to town but had the secluded nature at the end of the village. The sea on one side and the river on the other. The character of the building was amazing with beautiful gardens all around, we saw many different birds and animals. They also had a great pool to swim in.The food we had for breakfast and dinner was delicious. We really enjoyed the two tours we did there the turtle nesting and canoe trip of the canals. They were very informative and genuinely seemed interested and concerned with nature and conservation."

"As you drive up through the palm trees, you can tell you’re in for a treat. Peaceful, beautiful grounds surround Casa Hotel Turrire- and include lovely walking trails through the jungle. The rooms are comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here. "

"Tortuga Lodge was an amazing stay. The staff was incredibly friendly. The tours available were fun, informative, and worth it! The staff was very helpful in helping us schedule our tours. Definitely recommend. A quick note. Transportation by boat is very difficult after hours. While the staff was able to connect us with a private transfer, it took alot of communication. "

"The staff is very nice. Book some tours through their partner agency because they have friendly and knowledgeable guides. A few friendly cats in the area, buy some whiskers from the grocery store and make some friends. Sloths in the tree outside. The beach is a few feet away if that’s your thing as well, very shallow water but a refreshing dip. The jungle park is just down the street, 6km out and back close to the beach with some good wildlife. Friendly locals, probably a bit crowded during busy season, but all good vibes. There are a lot of cafes and restaurants but they all have similar menus, not the greatest cuisine but good enough. "

"This place is wonderful, a true relic of a simpler time. Beautiful property, with plants, birds, and a calm inviting atmosphere. The folks working are absolutely kind and hard working. The tipico breakfast was delicious and fajitas we tried one night were amazing! It is sad the city has grown around this gem! But we are so happy it is being kept up and beautiful! "
