"I loved this stay. Room was a bit hot because the curtains were open before we checked in and the sun was beaming into the room but once we opened the sliding glass door it cooled down a bit. The whole lodge and area/river is super cool"

"When traveling the Denali Highway don’t expect to find a 5star Hotel or even a Best Western / Holiday Inn, they don’t exist out there. What you will find, are hunting / fishing lodges that cater to each. The food was fine, family style, limited options. Rooms were clean and comfortable with shared bathroom facilities. Overall a fine place, just requires an adjustment in expectations."

"This is an excellent place to hang your hat for a night or two. Conveniently located to Denali, the Denali Highway and Cantwell, it's a clean quiet place (I had RM9, not a cabin) with a beautiful mountain view behind the cabins. I was greeted by Dan, the manager, a friendly and knowledgeable man who recommended the little sandwich shop for breakfast (on the property) and the pizza place across the street (fantastic pizza). The room had everything I needed - a microwave, fridge and a coffee pot. It was chilly when I was there but the heat worked fine. I was travelling solo and felt safe staying there. My only negative is that the blackout curtains could've been a little heavier - the sun is a crazy distraction!"

"This place is better than it looks. Outside rundown but interiors were updated and cozy. The host had continental breakfast and beautiful mountain views, with stream adjacent to the property and a beautiful train track. You will hear the train at night but its not disruptive. Access to restaurants is limited and gas prices at Vitus (nearby gas station) are expensive, at least $2/gal more than average in Alaska."

"This is a large but charming hotel not far from the Denali national park. There are a few onsite restaurant options and many picnic tables in the “miner’s camp.” Even though there are many buildings, the layout is such that it feels like it is a smaller place. There are things for children to do as well as entertainment for adults. There are no refrigerators in the room, but there are nearby ice dispensers. Although we drove ourselves, there seemed to be shuttle service to park and other adventures. I would highly recommend this place."
