The Newlands Guest House, a charming place built in 1836, has all necessary modern amenities including a swimming pool. Sarah and John, the proprietors, were the perfect hosts. They were very friendly & helpful with info about local places to see & dine at. We began each morning with a hearty meal, with hot & cold selections. Our room was very spacious and clean. Their cats & dog were a bonus. Our room opened onto a delightful garden. We had a wonderful three night stay at NGH, & would gladly return.

Our highlight was definitely the owner Sarah. Her helpful, friendly and very capable approach made the stay very enjoyable! The room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. The property is located in a beautiful area and feels very safe and secure.The breakfast was absolutely delicious and served in a lovely diningroom. A very good place to stay as I did not expect it to be so nice. The room was fantastic, and the breakfast was exceptional and well worth the reasonable price. I would stay here again and highly recommended.

This one is a keeper....

The proprietors are most welcoming, and no doubt receive a lot of repeat custom as a result. The place is beautiful, and it's setting and location are stunning. The bedrooms are thoughtfully provided for, and tastefully decorated. I will definitely be heading back here when next in Cape Town.

Stunning property. Some of the rooms are designed like private cottages and have their own separate entrances. Although in a guest house, this gives a more private feel. It is very tastefully decorated. The property owners are wonderful - friendly and accommodating. If ever in Cape Town again, this is where I will be staying.

Exxceptionnel !

Un établissement superbe dans lequel nous avons passé un séjour extraordinaire. La chambre Deluxe est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et très bon. Et surtout Sarah et John, les propriétaires de la Guesthouse sont exceptionnels. En plus de leur extrême gentillesse, ils ont su nous guider dans l'organisation de nos visites !
