There really are no words to describe Wonderland. I have traveled the world many times over and not discovered a place like this, and am so glad we did! It’s so much more than a guest house or accommodation. From being greeted by François, to check-in and a tour with Elle, to the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff, to the intentionality of ownership, Wonderland provides the warm and personal atmosphere all our nervous systems need, and the fun, stimulating environment our inner children desire. There is nothing normal or standard about this property, so those seeking the familiarity of a big brand hotel or resort may want to look elsewhere. For those desiring a unique, authentic, awe inspiring experience, I could not recommend a more impressive place to stay! In addition to the incredible location, and the creative and imaginative design, Wonderland is also outfitted with all the amenities (and so much more) that a person could want. From the kitchen to the pool to the gym to the sauna to the spacious living areas, this property provides a peak into a life we all not so secretly dream of. It is lodging mixed with art integrated with community. My mind immediately switched into “how can we find a way to just live here” mode. Leaving was actually difficult, and we are already so excited for when we get to return. Thank you to all those who have made this space possible. From making friends to making memories, this truly is a Wonderland!!

We stayed in the Kings Chamber, probably the coolest room I’ve ever stayed in. Views unbeatable, outdoor shower was liberating and the private treehouse and swing in the trees was the cherry on the cake. Don’t expect the service or facilities of a 5* hotel- this is a guest house (ex private residence, but feels like it’s plucked straight out of a movie). when the staff are around they are very attentive- they helped with our bags and cooked us whatever we liked for breakfast. Elle the manager booked us a massage in the wine cellar of the hotel (which is submerged in a Koi pond) which was an amazing experience. The honesty bar was a very efficient way of getting drinks. Please note Lunch/ dinner is not available without a 48hr pre booking, but there’s so many nice restaurants in the surrounding area and ubers are easy to get. There is also a well equipped communal kitchen you can use. The communal areas in the house are truly mesmerising- the attention to detail that went into building this property is mind blowing and the endless chill out areas, antiques and artworks around every corner really make for an interesting stay. The property is well secured and the underground car park very convenient. The pool area is very cool- it has a zip wire and some cool diving boards and is fresh water. Dont expect crystal clear blue water and waiters bringing you cocktails as this is not what this place is about. Beautiful place, 10/10 recommend for a unique experience

quiet relaxing quirky

A very quite relaxing place, breakfast is available but it was not the best (cold), this was a very different place, also a yoga retreat. interesting building and rooms. little areas to sit everywhere. lots of spiral staircases to get to places so not good if you have a bit of a funny knee like i have. 2 lovely dogs on the premises too, very friendly.

Bin wirklich happy mit dem Hotel gewesen! Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und das Hotel einfach wunderschön. Selten in so einem schönen Hotel gewesen. Ich hätte vielleicht zwei drei Anmerkungen aber das ist eher meckern auf hohem Niveau. Also der wichtigste Punkt - das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig. Definitiv Oropax mitnehmen oder so wie ich mit Kopfhörern schlafen. Ab 7-8 Uhr bekommt man eigentlich alles mit was draußen abgeht. Hatten die Smaragd Suite und wenn jemand oben drüber die Spülung getätigt hat hat es richtig laut gekracht. Ansonsten sind es nur so Kleinigkeiten wie, dass zwei mal beim Frühstück was falsches kam weil die Damen mich nicht richtig verstanden haben, oder es sehr cool wäre wenn man für mittags oder abends Snacks anbietet wie Pommes oder wraps damit man sich nicht immer was bestellen muss. Ebenfalls muss man die Tür offen lassen wenn man möchte das sein Zimmer gereinigt wird. Dadurch dass das Hotel wenige Zimmer hat ist es schon okay, trotzdem war mir nicht so ganz wohl dabei. Dennoch war der Aufenthalt wunderschön und ich werde gerne wieder zurück kommen.

Our room got upgraded which was nice but other than that we were disappointed with our stay. It felt more like a hostel rather than anything else. The communal areas including the pool was unclean and please be aware that there is no food or water available to purchase so you will need to bring your own. I’ve never left a review before but I wanted it to be clear for others before they book as we found the description and reviews to be misleading.

A hidden treasure, will return again.

This house is amazing. A well equipped place Steam room and Sauna, full workout room. Big screen entertainment along with large TV’s everywhere. The outside shower and bath tube in the Presidential suite is awesome, there is also a great copper bathtub in the room two sinks and toilet. The log vaulted ceiling is great large deck going out to your own swing and bench over looking the zip line and large slide into the great pool. There are many great rooms for gathering and bathrooms everywhere including off the spiral staircase going down to the large underground parking. Staff were very polite and helpful. They met every one of our request. Thank You for a wonderful time.

Absolutely magical, from the first moment. Exactly as the pictures, the properly sits among the trees and mountains in a perfect sanctuary. All of the details are well considered. Staff couldn’t be nicer. It was hard to leave in the mornings because we just wanted to stay and enjoy the grounds. Highly recommend
