"Apparently there was 3 baseball teams of young boys there. It was chaos! But that was no one’s fault but the parents. But this helped set the stress level of our weekend. My 10 yr old daughter was with me and the guy checking us in was cussing up a storm using the f word and many more words in front of her it was ridiculous. A second guy came up doing the same thing, the staff was clearly stressed because of how busy they were but it was unnecessary with the cussing and the unprofessional...

"Overall, our experience was okay. However, wherever you turn, you notice little things . . . a loose shower handle, exposed nuts/bolts at the base of the toilet, etc. Simple maintenance issues that differentiate a down-at-the-heels hotel from a good property. As for room service, we never broke the code on which days our room might be made up. Better hotels tell you what you might expect at check-in. The hotel breakfast was no better or worse than that offered by the chains. On the plus side,...

"The elevator was down, we were told that the only room available was on the 3rd floor. When we tried to access the room, it seemed to be locked from the inside. We were then given a room on the first floor. The facility was clean enough. This is a budget establishment, and you get what you pay for."

"We came here late Thursday evening after severe storms in our area left us without electricity and water. We woke up early Friday to a room literally swarming with ants and packed up as quickly as possible, all while brushing ants off of ourselves. There was no management on site and no one willing or able to do ANYTHING other than take my name and number saying that management would contact me. They haven't. "Overall, great hotel: clean rooms and common areas, comfy beds, good water pressure and temperature, effective darkening blinds, plenty of room space, and adequate breakfast offerings. The location is near ISU campus and nice shops and restaurants at easy walking distance. Parking is inconvenient being in a ramp across the street. Not too far away, but be aware of this in poor weather. Positives out weigh any negatives, I would stay here again."

"Not the fault of the facility, lightning had destroyed the elevator control council and the Ice machine on our floor. I am 76 with bad arthritis and don't do stairs well, but there were no rooms available on the first floor. When we got to our room, the toilet would not stop running. "The staff were very kind and the room was spacious and clean. The pool was quite run down and the skimmer wasn’t working as there were a bunch of hairs floating in the pool. (Black hairs, my husband is ginger and I am blonde so it wasn’t ours). One of the pool ladders is loose and when I went to climb out it shifted and I hit my foot and fell back into the pool pretty hard."

He did not tell us about the continental breakfast, check out time, asked if I was a Hilton honors member, etc. Seemed annoyed to have to look up my member number by phone number. Alright neighborhood and room was decent - definitely need some work in the room and cosmetic upgrades."

"The lights were malfunctioning; I asked for them to be changed, but in three days, no one ever came to fix them. Also, the three soap dispensers in the shower are in the way while bathing—it’s very poorly designed; the soap should be on the other side so you can get in easily and shower comfortably. I am very disappointed."
