The staff, from registration to housekeeping , were engaging and pleasant. We had dinner in the Carlsbad Village area, which is about four miles from the hotel. I was surprised that the hotel shuttle was available to take us and return to pick us up.

Too bad we didn’t get to enjoy the pool since someone had an accident (poop) in the pool. We appreciate the Westin accommodating us by letting us use the pool at the Sheraton and Mar Brisa. I loved the restaurant! Great food and drinks but not kid friendly. Our basic room was roomy and very comfortable.
