"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. We're looking forward to coming back and staying again, as the plans for new menus sound fantastic. Room sizes and facilities are very adequate for a short stay. "Very near the motorway. You are in Windermere in less than half an hour. Lovely area. Quiet. The apartments are very well equipped and spacious. The views are quite nice. Parking is right next to the lodges which is great. Felt secure. The few points I would like them to improve on. 1. The gym timings should be extended to 10pm from the current 8 pm 2. The children play area should be improved. There are no swings. Just a slide and a tree house "
