"I had a bit of an issue on check-in, however, the staff resolved it quickly. It seemed that my first room, while very nice, and clean, had a door that would not open easily from either side. To the room and open the door and everything was fine. He remarked that he would be getting a hold of maintenance very soon to get the other rooms doors repaired."

"The property was so clean and renovated so well. Our room was immaculate and decorated so up to date and simply so that we had more space in our room more than unused furniture. The front desk lady was so kind and so helpful and actually went above and beyond her job to make our stay delightful! The AC in our room was terrific and the quiet was so great and restful. The breakfast also was delightful and the area so clean as is so very necessary and also the breakfast choices were a good variety. Reasonable price as well."

"The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The AC was controlled by wall thermostat. The bathroom was clean and modern. Unfortunately, housekeeping was lacking. We checked in on a Monday and left Friday. During that time, housekeeping came in once to make the beds and freshen the room. Despite a sign indicating that towels left on the floor would be collected and replaced with fresh, the towels were only replaced once. The young lady at the check-in counter indicated that a new computer system had recently been installed and that they no longer have the ability to monitor/adjust the housekeeping schedule. I understand that system upgrades can result in issues, but the update occurred roughly 2 weeks ago; you would think that such a fundamental problem would get priority resolution. The breakfast was adequate; the oatmeal was soupy and the scrambled eggs luke warm. We didn't try the waffles or quiche, but I was told that both were very good. Note that the staff were very friendly. For the price, I might try someplace different next time we visit Charleston."
