"The location was perfect for our last 2 nights in Ireland; it is close to Trim and an easy drive into Dublin Airport. The gardens are beautiful and lovely to walk through. Killeen Castle and abbey are intriguing and can only be viewed from their exterior, but still amazing to see. Down the street is Dunsany Castle and tours are only available in the summer. "We only stayed here for one evening on our way back from our Irish coast tour. We were surprised that the rooms were in such bad shape, because the reviews were so good. The bathroom was not in good shape, the carpet was falling apart, the water would not get hot, and the water in the shower was backfilling. "The hotel is very dated even the elevator and use of actual keys to open and unlock the room door. The room was extremely hot as there was no air conditioning in the room and the temperature was above 23*C even went up to 26*C and the hotel only provided a small fan. The window barely opens to let air in, it was ver uncomfortable to sleep for the two nights we stayed there. The breakfast was fresh not a lot of choices as you order from the menu. The room was clean and the location good."
