"Amazing place with an incredible view and quiet"

"The resort was absolutely stunning. The view from it amazing. The two observations that we have are: the staff just did not have enough capacity to service all the rooms. We had a problem in the bathroom, asked for help, went out and two hours later it still was not addressed. The second was the breakfast. The breakfast was not on par with such a luxurious resort. They need to do more. More good varsity and served until 10:30, not running out of items at 9:30. Other than these two observations,...

"Beautiful place and super friendly staff!"

"It may not be a surprise to most, but we booked this hotel specifically because of the underground pool. We were very excited to use it. However, we then realized our teenage sons couldn't use it (18+ only) and it also costs and additional 25,00 a person to use. I don't blame the company as everything is in the fine print and we just didn't see it. But make sure if you're a family you know these things."

"We stayed at the hotel with our family of 4. We were picked up by the hotel at a parking outside of the Sassi area. The hotel staff is very nice and friendly. Our suitcases were brought to the room and we were explained about all the main sights. Our room was amazing with a mezzanine and grotto feel. Unfortunately the bathroom was in need of maintenance, but otherwise it was a great stay!"

"The hotel is a gem in Matera. The rooms are tastefully decorated with all the modern amenities. The breakfast was delicious with high quality ingredients; do try the olive oil as it is exceptional!!! The spa is another level. Throughout our stay the hotel provided service rarely seen nowadays. I applaud the team at Vetera Matera for their exceptional service. Thank you and we will definitely return."
