I’m quite sure I’ve never written a negative review but we were disappointed in this place.
We noticed upon check in that the waterslide wasn’t working. Not an issue for us but a disappointment for families with kids (we heard).
We had reserved a king size bed and upon check in were told that that room was unavailable but that we could have an “upgrade” of two Queen beds instead. As a married couple two Queen beds is not what we were after. Not really a big deal (but please don’t chalk it up as an upgrade). When we opened the door the room smelled stuffy… almost musty. Yuck.
Immediately we ran the fan to get the air circulating. Little did we realize the windows facing the pool (rm 301) don’t open at all (which makes sense likely considering the pool moisture and smell).
Looking down at the main pool it looked like it likely hadn’t been scrubbed for a very long time. But what we wanted was to go sit in the hot tub after a long day on the road.
We grabbed the only two large threadbare towels from the bathroom and headed down to find that the jets weren’t working on the hot tub either.
As it turned out we started sleeping in one of the Queen beds but it was directly under the fan and far too noisy and disturbing.
The breakfast options were limited; two types of cereal, no yogurt, cold hard boiled eggs, bread, bagels and make your own waffle machine ( which was quite busy). On the bright side? The orange juice was very good and the staff were pleasant.
