The George is a very comfortable hotel and Castletown is a good location. The room was spacious and clean. Excellent choice at breakfast and evening dinner. Sunday roast was first class, very large helpings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for four nights and thorougly enjoyed our stay.

A brilliant location. Bus stops right in the square, you can get anywhere on the Island. The George is a bit tired but the staff and location makes up for it. Really enjoyed our stay

This place has an excellent location, the staff are very obliging. The whole place needs a facelift. Sheets that don’t fit the bed correctly causing it to be off the mattress in one side, the bathroom door needed new screws on the top hinge, we had to lift it to close it, the curtains were not connected at the top right hand side, this was a shame as this let the place down.

Spotless room and friendly staff. Great breakfasts (if you have the 'Full Manx' you may not need to eat again for the rest of the day!). Downstairs is a no-frills pub with good bar meals in the evening. Separate breakfast room for the mornings. I had a spacious ensuite room upstairs. Nothing special, but comfortable and worth the money that I paid. I would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the George in Castletown. The staff are incredibly friendly. The breakfast was really extensive for a Pub stay and was fresh. The only letdown was that we had a standard double bed when we booked a king! We decided not to complain as the room was clean and tidy and we were only there for one night. Would recommend and would stay there again the place has character.

A great sized room with all we needed. All areas were clean, staff were all lovely and very friendly. Great atmosphere in the bar area, comfortable and good range of food choices which were all very tasty. We didn’t use the breakfast room but it looked nice with plenty of tables available.We would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again.

A large room, with lovely shower room. Very clean, beautiful location in Castletown and perfect base to visit the Isle of Man. Ample parking. We spent 3 nights here and had a great time. Breakfast was incredible with a continental option or a cooked breakfast menu including eggs benedict, kippers and lots of other options. We also had a lovely dinner here, a nice pub menu. I recommend this hotel for good value for money.

Breakfast was excellent and evening meals were good value for money. The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. The hotel's location was perfect with adjacent parking for our classic car. It was right on the market square and the bus stop with a regular bus service was just outside. The room was good and clean. We had a small issue with a partly blocked shower drain and it was dealt with straight away. The weather was very hot and the room was rather warm and difficult to cool. On the final morning we had to leave early to catch a ferry and we were told that a breakfast would be prepared and left outside our room. This did not happen.
