Shaky start - great finish

Despite the booking confirmation saying check-in was open until 1900, we arrived at 1615 only to find it shut until 1800 - duh - nearly every other hotel I've stayed in welcomes guests from 1500 at the earliest...to compound the problem, I received a text from the hotel the evening after we had left telling us what the check-in times were! Nevertheless, we were pleased with the large room (17 - at the back - luckily away from the Saturday night live band on the beach opposite) with good facilities and a great shower big enough for 3, rather than the tiny coffin many hotels install. Whilst we were hanging around until 1800, we had a look round for somewhere to eat, but came back to the hotel, which was a lucky decision since they were just about full. We sat next to a French couple who had had lunch there earlier and decided the food was so good to come back for dinner. Our food was great as was the wine - I can recommend the St. Martin rouge. All in all a great stay despite a shaky start - would definitely stay there again.

L’accueil a été désastreux. La personne devait être sur place de 18h à 19h le mercredi 1er octobre 2025. À 18h50 nous étions à l’hôtel et l’hôtel était fermé. Après message et coup de téléphone la personne arrive (attente environ 10 mn) et nous faisons part de notre mécontentement/ étonnement. Résultat la personne nous fait comprendre que c’est de notre faute. Un comble!!!!

J’avais réservé deux chambres : une pour ma famille et une autre pour un couple d’amis venu de l’étranger pour un mariage à Cayeux. Quelques heures après avoir quitté l’hôtel, j’ai reçu un appel du personnel m’accusant d’avoir “fait disparaître les serviettes” de la deuxième chambre. Ne pouvant pas joindre mes amis sur le moment (absence de réseau), j’ai demandé à l’hôtel de vérifier, mais ils ont insisté sur leur accusation. Finalement, après contact avec le couple, il s’est avéré que les serviettes n’avaient jamais été fournies dans la chambre à leur arrivée. Je considère cette situation comme inacceptable et humiliante, d’autant plus que personne ne m a contacté apres et qu’aucune excuse ne nous a été présentée par l’établissement.

Un peu déçue: déjà une odeur très désagréable à l’entrée de la chambre. Puis je m’attendais à une vue sur la mer, j’ai eu une vue sur la courette technique. Ensuite, pas de mini-bar dans la chambre, pas de baignoire et les wc qui ouvrent directement sur la chambre de 4 c’est pas top niveau intimité…

Dommage que nous nous soyons vu refuser une table de petit déjeuner en terrasse alors qu’il faisait très beau face à la mer. Repas à l’hôtel de qualité mais les moules marinières sont plutôt nature : pas d’oignons, une sauce à l’eau … cela n’enlève rien à la qualité des moules, heureusement !

Tout est très propre, la chambre est grande, la salle de bain aussi. Une vue mer parfaite. Il y a un restaurant dans l'hôtel mais nous n'y avons pas mangé mais la carte est alléchante et les prix corrects. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est top, au centre de l'activité touristique.
