"I heard about Benmiller Inn over 25 years ago and had always wanted to stay there. Unfortunately, it seems I should have visited 25 years ago. This is no longer a luxury retreat and I found many of the glowing reviews quite misleading.
Our stay got off to a poor start when the unenthusiastic front desk couldn't locate our reservation. The entrance to our building smelled strongly of chlorine from the pool and felt damp, with three dehumidifiers running in the hallway.

"We stayed for two nights and had a very disappointing experience. The pool was dirty, our room was humid, and no breakfast was provided. There were people smoking nearby, so it definitely didn't feel family friendly.

"They were having the place painted. We had to move our vehicle. Our room was in the middle of the work area and on the 1st night the painters were banging around outside our room until after 9 pm. We had the jacuzzi suite. There was nowhere to put our clothes. Two drawers and one had extra pillows. The other was extra blankets.
