"Kleines Hotel, dem die Renovierung gut getan hat. Die Dachterrasse war ca 2x2m groß, reicht aber für ein schönes Foto von der unverbauten Aussicht auf die Cite von Carcassonne. Kleiner, liebevoller Garten mit leckerem Frühstück."

We were put off by this until we discovered that this is pretty much a universal thing in France that Jacuzzis are unheated. "When we checked in we were told there was no hot water and they had booked us into their sister hotel (which was not a 5 star hotel!). Staff were apologetic and accommodating but it wasn’t a great experience and when we asked for a delayed check out (from 11 to 12) we were refused by the hotel we were in on the advice of the originally booked hotel. Because it was prepaid through Expedia there was nothing they were willing to do re refunding the difference in rooms. The breakfast was very good...

"You are asking about the staff? There was nobody there when we arrived. I could not find my reservation number because of poor phone connection! It took us 15 minutes to check in and other guests were struggling too! Not a good system and Expedia should let us know that there nobody at the Hotel when you arrive, that we needed our reservation number, not just our names and to be ready for a machine."
