A fantastic boutique hotel in an 800 year old building. The staff were really helpful and friendly and facilitated our early morning check out. Situated in the heart of old Chania.

Porto del Colombo was one of the highlights of our stay in Chania. The hotel is beautiful, full of character, and set in a historic building that makes the experience feel truly unique. Our room was lovely, comfortable, and full of charm. The real standout, though, was the hospitality. Rula and Flora were absolutely amazing. They welcomed us like family, gave us countless excellent recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and things to see, and we always looked forward to chatting with them over breakfast or when we returned after a day of exploring. Their warmth and local knowledge made our trip so much better. The breakfast buffet was fantastic every morning with plenty of fresh, delicious options. Everything about the hotel was exceptionally well run, and it's clear the staff genuinely care about their guests. We'll absolutely be staying here again the next time we're in Chania. Highly recommended!

Characterful boutique hotel right in the Venetian old town. Lovely staff who gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants. Great location right in the middle of the old town, the sea view room (8) is a real treat, waking up to a view of the lighthouse and out to sea is not to be missed.

Excellent hotel! Loved the whole thing. Very friendly staff, great service. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast is like homemade. The location is perfect and you can walk around the historic center within minutes. Will definitely stay there again.

Well maintained 700 year old building. The staff was very helpful at check in and secured a taxi for our departure time as they have limited # of taxis in Chania on the morning of our departure. Excellent coffee and a big and varied amount of food that was very tasty at breakfast. Very pleased.

Fantastic Hotel Find!

The location was great. The room was very comfortable, the decor was wonderful and bathroom very nice and clean. Flora, the evening host was very nice. She have us great recommendations for sites and restaurants. She even prepared a bag breakfast for our very early departure. Roula the day host was very helpful and friendly as well. We would highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Chania.

This hotel was the favorite of my family among all the other places we stayed during our trip to Greece. The hotel is very old and maintains a special charm through its decor. We slept well in the beds- very comfortable and not hard like other places. The breakfast is by far one of the best we've had as well- scrambled and poached eggs, bacon, cereals, juices and multiple choices of delicious pastries. We also really enjoyed the morning lattes. Will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return~

We LOVED this hotel. Great location, clean, tastefully decorated, helpful staff, well maintained, simple yet tasty and filling breakfast buffet. Air conditioning could be cranked to 19 Celsius on the day we returned from a 14 hour hiking day in Samaria, hot and tired. We would return in a heartbeat. They went above and beyond: they helpfully spent 10 minutes explaining where to go in Chania and Crete when we arrived, they provided a box breakfast the day we hiked Samaria Gorge, they arranged an airport taxi, and they did our laundry for a reasonable EUR 15 per bag (maybe 5 liters in volume). Location is perfect: just 2 minutes from Venetian Harbor, but not ON the harbor so you’re not getting woken up at 2 am by a THUNK THUNK THUNK from the clubs on a Saturday night. Just a couple of thing to be aware of. First, our room was three stories up. No elevator (it’s an old, historic building). Fine if you’re fit, and in fact a good way to walk off some of your gelato calories. Second, you have to walk about 5 minutes from taxi to the hotel (the building predates the invention of the car by a few hundred years).

We loved the location, staff and breakfast buffet was pretty good. The downside is that there is no elevator which means a lot of stairs. So beware if you have trouble climbing steps. Also, the bed was super uncomfortable because the mattress was very hard. Views were great and the area is safe.

Perfekt läge! Underbar personal

Fantastisk vistelse och underbar service! Har perfekt läge i Chania! Personalen fick oss att känna oss hemma och frukost va någorlunda bra för oss som är vegetarianer men fanns massor att välja mellan om man är allätare. Nackdelen är den obekväma sängen som är stenhård och AC’n som man inte kan reglera och som stänger av och på sig hela tiden och som är extremt högljudd. Vi hade svårt att sova för det blev så varmt och AC’n gjorde det ännu jobbigare

My wife and I got a marvelous time in this hotel. Location is premiere, right at the heart of Chania old port. Room was great and clean with a great view of the port. Breakfast was fantastic. And the most important was that we felt like at home!! We fully recommend the Porto del Colombo hotel in Chania!
