"It was fine"

"I stayed here for 2 weeks and think this would be my go-to hotel anytime I come back to Chicago to see friends and family in the future. The room was clean, which is the most important thing to me. There was more lighting in the room than most of the hotels I've stayed at, which I liked. On weekdays it was so quiet and peaceful. On weekends, there were loads of children making a non-stop ruckus using the halls as a playground but never after 10 PM. But the weekdays were very serene. It's next to the major highway but I never noticed the traffic sound. It's in a safe location with plenty of parking in a well-lit lot. There is a fridge and a microwave and a desk to work at. The heat/AC work quickly. There is a guest laundry that uses quarters. It's at a good location for venturing out into the Chicago suburbs. They don't do housekeeping unless you ask but they were helpful when I needed to change the trash, get new towels, or get coins for the laundry. Check-in was easy. If I had to find something minorly negative, I'd say the material between the floor tiles was loose and kept sticking to my feet and pulling out and it could feel like stepping on a Lego brick."

"Our room was extremely clean and was very comfortable! The bed was great and amenities were wonderful! The entire staff at checkin and breakfast were so friendly and helpful! We couldn’t have asked for a better breakfast-probably the best we’ve had in a hotel! It was in a very convenient location too!"

"The staff were very helpful and friendly. They were remodeling so they are working on upgrades throughout. It was a bummer that the hot tub was closed and pool was ice cold. We stayed 2 non-consecutive nights. The first night, the bathroom switch was not working exactly right but it was alright. The next night we stayed, there was a large stain and tip in the curtain (which the staff made a note of to take care of after we left) and there was dirt all over the window sill from what looked like people coming in and out of the window to the room. Breakfast was a nice mixture of hot and cold choices. And they did pretty well to keep it stocked up throughout the breakfast time. Overall a nice stay! "

"Walking from the elevators on the 3rd floor, it felt like there was a hole in floor under the carpet. The hotel just needed maintenance"

"This is a very clean and nice hotel. It feels brand new and the staff was incredibly friendly and polite. My only complaint was the noise. It seems like when building this hotel, they really cheaped out on soundproofing. It’s right next to the interstate which was loud inside the room, Also, you could hear every footstep in the room above us, and they apparently had young kids who were running around all until almost midnight. And I mean you could really hear them. On the second night we stayed, I was watching television at a very normal volume level, and the manager must have received a complaint and had to come ask us to turn it down. I could barely hear the tv over the air conditioner, but it was bothering our neighbors. Not their fault, but the walls must have been as bad about noise transmission as the floors. Otherwise, perfectly nice hotel and very clean."
