Great experience from start to finish. Very clean, larger than we expected, and just overall a much nicer experience than we imagined. Shuttle to the park was great. Staff was very nice and helpful. Some really good restaurants nearby and a relatively short drive to multiple shopping centers. We had a great time, would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near Carowinds!

Very easy to go to and from Carowinds and discounted tickets was a bonus. Cabin suites what you’re there for but walls are thin.

Everything was very clean. I think maybe the toilet seat could have been paid a little more attention to. The bunk beds are metal and were pretty loud when the kids moved in them. Wooden would have been a better choice. Other than that I think it was a great stay.

Office staff are always so friendly. The shuttle to and from the park is a super added convenience. Cabins are generally clean although the mattress on the fold out sofa is not the most comfortable in the world

The staff really made the experience so great. They were all so friendly! The cabin was spacious and had a full kitchen so it was nice to be able to go grocery shopping vs order takeout. The only negative I have was there were a few black ants in the bathroom. You can take a shuttle to Carowinds or the front desk will give you a free parking pass. We will definitely stay again when we visit Carowinds.

Great time

We had a wonderful stay in one of the cabins. It was very clean and the shuttles were a wonderful thing to have. We will definitely stay again. The only negative is the futon mattress was thin feeling and not comfortable. Not a big problem for us and probably just end of season wear.

If you want a cute and clean cabin, this place is for you. If you want a place to relax after traveling or spending the day in the park, do not book this cabin. All pieces of furniture are VERY uncomfortable. Each metal slat on the futon and twin beds could be felt. The mattress on the full size bed was so thin it was like sleeping on a wooden floor. There was also a party that started around 10:30 pm on the property behind the cabin that shook the cabin for close to two hours. Security did try to take care of it, but it was not on the campground’s property.

The property itself was nice, quiet and safe. A shuttle to Carowinds was provided free of charge to property guests, each member of your party just needed a camp wilderness wristband to ride the shuttle, can get it from the refistration office free of charge. The wristband is needed for free shuttle service to and from the park. The cabin was nice as well. We had a party size of 7 and the cabin sleeps 8. Now for what I did not like. I fully paid for my trip through Expedia and checked in on time at Camp Wilderness. The attendnant stated they needed a card on file, but that it would not be charged. Well, I woke up the next morning to find that I in fact was charged $194.84. I went to the registration office about this charge, and they stated that the charge was made in error and that I would get my money back. Now this money was part of our spending money, and I expressed this to the attendant because I knew I would not see that money for about a week, and I am still showing a pending transaction as of 4/21/25. The attendant was nice enough to provide comp premium dining plans to every guest in my party, along with fast lane passes. She provided excellent customer service and ginuine sympathy for our situation, especially since it was an error on the campgrounds and not an error on my part. We enjoyed the rest of our stay and Carowinds, but as I ststed earlier, I still have not gotten my money back from Carowinds Campgrounds.

This is a very convenient nice cabin to Carowinds. We enjoyed having a TV in each bedroom and the living room. The kitchen provided for basic cooking, but we didn’t cook. The refrigerator did not have ice trays, which would have been nice.
