"I like that it has old Alpine Charm that fits the highlands. They have go to great lengths to build out decks from the restaurant, have pickle bar ball court. There is a specialty food truck onsite in addition to good menu and nice bar, it gives the Pineola a vibe of youth and comfort. Although I don’t stay often I live in Newland in Summer and will make sure I get back to restaurant/ bar to relax one evening."

"The first unit I reserved had some issues - sliding door wouldn't open and logging into the TV, but the host moved us to another unit that was much better. We didn't know that places would be closed either due to it being off season or Easter weekend. We had to go into Banner Elk to eat and buy groceries. Just wanted to add that for people like us that don't travel to the mountains often. Overall we had a good trip, but I would stay in Banner Elk, Boone, or Blowing Rock next time."

"The property itself was amazing. Views for days. Some issues were the fact that due to illness ( sign at front desk) there was no physical staff. You had to text or call and wait for a reply. We needed fresh towels one day but could not reach anyone and had to go to Walmart in Boone and purchase towels. Would have been good to know whirlpool tub did not work ahead of time. Need a privacy sign on gate to property, because with barn right next door we had folks wandering onto property and...
