"The first room was too small. The second room they gave us was so much better. The staff helped us get a bedroom. However, no shelf space in the bathroom or the main room. No refrigerator. We really missed having a refrigerator."

"Great, attentive staff, fantastic easy transportation, amazing breakfast, convenient location with many stores, even experienced the flea market on sunday, great bakery accross the street. We had the top floor corner unit with fantastic view... all worth climbing those sairs."

"The apartment itself is nice however upon check out we left rubbish in our bin and some plates on the draining board. The lady at the desk made us go back and put the bins out and put the dishes away (dishes I can understand but this then means they are not cleansed properly for the next person staying). There were Two different receptionists, one was very kind and polite the other was very rude and ignorant. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your money on breakfast as all they had to offer was...

"Honestly everything was pretty good except that it was 28 Celsius (about 80F) in my room multiple nights and they refused to turn the AC on even though there’s a thermostat in my room. They just told me to open my window but the problem was I only had a balcony door with no screen, no window, so anything could get in including all the rain one night. 2nd it was on a busy main road so the noise was too much for that. I slept terrible because of this my whole stay."

"This is our second time staying at this hotel. This trip we stayed at quite a few different hotels as we traveled through France, and I still think Hotel de la Porte Doree takes hotel service to a new level! Cleanliness, amazing staff, great beds and bathrooms and amazing amenities! Free coffee fruit, nuts at the reception. I honestly think the staff are one of the best. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to being back someday when we are in Paris!❤️❤️"
