"No coffee in the room!! The hotel desperately needs an update. Its age really shows. It’s just not worth the prices they charge. And it’s so busy and full so they just aren’t investing in the property. The carpet and wallpaper are dreadful. The paint is dirty and needs a fresh coat. It really needs to be redone. The rooms really have no amenities other than TV, WiFi, iron and hairdryer. We had to switch rooms because the blinds were broken, the bathroom door was swollen and barely shut and made horrible squealing sound and the carpet had a huge tear in it.
We’ve stayed several times due to location but will not stay again as what you get for the price is not worth it at all."
"Love the art deco theme. The location is perfect: so close to theatres and Times Square. Breakfast vouchers were great. We loved it all and would definitely recommend it to everyone."
"The hotel is a bit dated, but well maintained and clean. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable!
The lobby area is loud, but the staff was very nice."
"The convenience of location was excellent. Easy access to subway and close to theaters and Times Square.Check in was really slow, it took 25 min. The staff was super friendly."
"Elegant and VERY close to time square and broadway shows... walking distance to alot more. We had one of the "deluxe room king bed high floor" rooms with a large floor to ceiling view. We ended each night sitting and enjoying the view and reflecting on our day. It will be our hotel of choice when we return again."
"The wifi was not good. The continental breakfast is not worth the money. The restaurant barely acknowledges you if you thr coupon and then either don't serve you or serve cold items. The room and hotel are nice, but small. The staff are helpful when you can find desk staff. For the cost expect more, but it is an historical hotel and that is good."
