Daresbury Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"Generally a good hotel. It is on a business park so not much local vibe, you definitely benefit from having a car. The upside of this is that there is loads of parking and you can travel onward very quickly. There was a problem with power in the first room but they did upgrade me. Also the room key stopped working. The staff were very good and put everything right promptly. Some of the lift interiors looked a bit scuffed. The rooms were well decorated. I was on my own so I booked a cozy room, it was... Pay a bit extra and get a standard double, it is worth it and still very reasonable. The hotel is clean and it has a nice foyer and coffee bar, some of the architecture is a bit 70's so low-rise and long corridors but well upgraded. Leisure centre staff were very helpful. Breakfast was well-priced but would benefit from a better selection of bread and more cold cuts of meat and cheese."

The Park Royal Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I have just returned from an overnight stay. We had a lovely room on the 2nd floor. It was really clean and a good size. We used the leisure facilities which were also spotlessly clean. The pool is a great size and has loungers around it. Also great hairdryer and straighteners. We had dinner in the bar and the staff were great and really helpful. The food was lovely and well priced. We had a twin room and we both felt the beds were quite hard and a bit uncomfortable, it took us a while to get to sleep. Breakfast was a bit unorganized, when we arrived there were lots of tables but they hadn't been cleared so took a while to get a clean table. Other people came in and where walking about looking for tables. The breakfast itself was lovely with a good selection of cereal, fruit, yogurt and pastries. My husband also enjoyed a cooked breakfast. I can only assume that they were short staffed in the morning. The hotel is lovely and the staff are really nice and welcoming."

The Queen at Chester Hotel, BW Premier Collection
8/10 Good
"Was a mix up on booking. Hotel.com messed up the upgrade, but staff member sorted it out and we ended up with a junior suite. It was gorgeous clean and had lots of little extras. Bottle of prosecco, biscuits premium coffee machine and 2 60" telly's. Fantastic walk in shower and also a roll top bath plus a huge king-size bed. We had a fabulous time."

Best Western Pinewood Manchester Airport-Wilmslow Hotel

Crowne Plaza Chester by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel was amazing. Right in the city centre but quiet aswell. The room was excellent and the bed was huge . The staff were the best part of our stay so genuinely helpful and friendly and welcoming they made the experience even better. "

Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Overall a great hotel. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were great and breakfast was excellent. Swimming pool was very clean, however the changing rooms need a lot of work, locker doors hanging off and even missing. Around the jacuzzi the panels were broken. Evening meals were very limited menu in my opinion and rather expensive. Overall though a great stay. Just spend a bit of cash please and fix the simple stuff."

The Mill Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Location great, added bonus of parking at £12 per night. Good selection for breakfast although the sausages weren’t the best quality. Staff all pleasant and hotel generally clean. Very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again."

ABode Chester
8/10 Good
"Good but the room was cold tried adjusting temperature controls but nothing worked could only blow cold air out otherwise everything else was good 👍"

Cottons Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"The room was large and clean. It did smell rather musty though. We’ve been to this hotel a few times and it’s not as good as it used to be. Probably much like some other hotels who have had to reduce standards, staff etc. Reception staff were very pleasant and efficient. Bar staff were the same. Service at dinner in the restaurant wasn’t quite as good."
