"This hotel looks like you stepped into 1980. The front door had a gap that let in light and cold air. The wallpaper was peeling. There were scuff marks on the walls and door. The bathroom fixture was open and you could see exposed wiring. Some outlet plates were also open. The one lamp had non working electrical outlets. The room smelled musty. The beds were comfortable and the shower had reasonable pressure."

"Everything was great, really did love everything and its energy around. Only thing I would add is a microwave or something to heat up food plus would like the shower to be able to heat up quicker."

I was a little concerned initially about the reviews I read regarding the level of cleanliness of the rooms which I am extremely particular about. The room was very clean so maybe the issue has been addressed. Communication with staff via text which normally would be concerning was also very prompt and quick. "The welcoming spaces still allowed for privacy while providing the most wonderful comforts such as cold and hot drinks, books,board games and a garden retreat. Our room could be kept at our preferred temperature with an individual, quiet cooling unit that didn't block the garden view. The morning breakfast included a delightful menu at a unique gourmet level."

"Deep cleaning needs to be done and the hot tub was dirty. had to clean but it was a nice room. Owner very nice and he was sorry about the tub. It could have been the filters."
