More time was spent thinking up rules with which to bombard guests than was spent creating a comfortable and livable guestroom. Not even a bedside table - nor a lamp. I was kept waiting at check-out because the reception did not open at the stated time. No apology, nor any attempt to say 'good morning' or to ask whether or not my stay had been comfortable or - god forbid - enjoyable. There is virtually nowhere to sit or relax in this so-called hotel - I found unused rooms and spaces that have become a storage area for odds and ends rather than being used as a lounge. They take a 1,000 Baht cash deposit, which is ludicrous - if this is your final night in Thailand, you're left with 1,000 unspent Baht once you check out. What really irks me is the fake, super-friendly welcome I received upon arrival - but within 24 hours, when I checked out, any glimmers of hospitality had simply disappeared into the money-grubbing ether. What a disappointment.
The most wonderful experience in Thailand. The hotel is in the old town and you can walk to any corner in the old town without the taxi. The reception is so nice and she helps me a lot with the deposit and the taxi to the airport and all the service is so nice. Thanks her a lot. Next time I go to Chiang Mai I will choose this guesthouse again!
