"We had a lovely one night stay here. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, a large shower room, and a very comfortable bed. We had dinner there and the food was lovely. The breakfast was included and also good - the chef came to take our orders for cooked food, and was very accommodating."

We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. "

"There is no handicap ramp or lift to access the rooms. This was not mentioned in the website description. And there is no staff to help moving baggage upstairs using the staircase. Food in the bar is good. But rug in the hallway is dangerous to precipitate a fall."

"Wasn’t expecting a ‘superior’ twin room to be directly above the kitchen. Extractor fan turned on @ 7am… a necessity no doubt, but hardly conducive to a relaxing stay. Staff lovely. Parking easy."

"The family room was on the 3rd floor with two windows which were in poor condition. Only one was safe to open. The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was very good as was the restaurant where we had dinner one evening. Staff were always very helpful and polite."

"The property is timber framed and old, really old. Cleanliness and condition is very good but this building needs constant maintenance. We loved it, it’s very old and full of history. Very cute little town, very nice surroundings. We hit it in the middle of a heat wave and there is no AC, in fact there’s likely no AC in most of the village but the normal temperature does not require it. We were just unlucky.
